When did you send your application? and how long is the expected processing time in your INS center?
My situation is similar as yours, I applied on Arpil for OPT with a start date on July 2004. ISS office advised me that it would take 3 weeks to get a receipt, and then 90 days for processing(TX INS). So it is likely that EAD will be approved sometime on August, and the start date is August 2004 till August 2005. I am reluctant to believe it, do you have any idea? I found in the OPT instruction (but dated 11 2003), it allows you to withdraw your OPT application provided the EAD card is not physically issued to you. If it is feasible, I may change to graduate in Summer Semester. Do yo know anything about it?
