All applications lacking any evidence required (i.e. specified in I485 instruction) will be returned without being processed at all (details are in I485 instruction). They are considered incomplete and no case is established. In other words, it is equivalent to that you have never ted the application at all.

They will require for more information if they believe your evidence is not strong enough to meet their requirement.
