When can a dependednt join the principal on a EB2 485 case?

I am filing I-485 as principal on an EB2 case (I -140 pending). My wife does not want to file I-485 as my dependent now.

If she decides to join me later as I-485 dependent, does she have to wait until my priority date become current again, or can she file I-485 any time after my submission? I imagine very probable retrogression after August.
