I-485 approved, finally done

Received email notices today saying that I-485 has been approved. The long-waiting journey finally ends.

04/2004, I-140 NIW/I-485 concurrently filed to VSC,
03/2005, I-140 approved,
04/2005, first finger print
06/2006, received responce to an inquiry of status from USCIS. It says that processing is delayed due to pending background check.
Then wrote to senator and congressman a couple of times. USCIS kept saying background check is still pending.
02/2007, wrote to First Lady. Received a letter in 04/07 from FBI saying that Name Check is in process.
03/02/2007, case transferd fron VSC to TSC
05/09/2007, Second finger print
05/2007, AP and EAD applied.
05/21/07, USCIS responded to Senator inquiry, saying background check is still pending. very disapointed.
06/27/07, I-485 approved.

Not much excited, but relieved. Belief on the fairness of the system was a lot shaked after experiencing no effective ways to push them forward and seeing many people who applied later got approved earlier. Hope that USCIS is fixing the system and is clearing up the old cases. Hope this could light up hope for those in a long-waiting and in stress. Good luck to all !
