提上來問小白兔: can you help me on this?

I am Canadian PR. I landed Canada in last March. But when I came back from Canada, US officer asked me if I applied US perminant resident. I answered "Yes" (actually I didn’t get labor certificate at that time). He told me it is illegal. So he let me choose one, US PR or Canada PR. At that moment, I didn’t know I would have today (my 485 is sent in June). So I picked Canada’s. He said he would put some notes in my file and told me I wouldn’t get US PR.

I don’t know what is the worst case for me. If I got 485 denied, what I should do? I have two kids. They are born here.
