Sorry to reply late.
I prepared the following documents:
1. Original H-1B approvement from INS (I-179 form?);
2. The employer confirmation letter;
3. Copy of H-1B application materials (need to notarized by your lawyer or your employer);
4. The latest three month paycheck stubs;
5. The I-20 (when I was a student, I had that form);
6. EDA card (this card allowed me to work during my OPT);
7. My Ph.D. deploma;
9. My latest tax forms and W-2 form.
But actually the visa officer just asked me to show her the I-179 form, the employer letter and the H-1B application materials. Then she asked me only a few question such as when and where I got my Ph.D, how long I had worked and what my is duty in this company, and She decided to offer me the visa.
Good luck to you and don't need to worry about this thing because the visa officer is also human being.
