my friend's FP experience: when he called FBI, FBI said they already sent the result to uscis; and uscis told him fbi hadn't given then the result.after backward several times, finally found uscis didn't find the result in their system because she typoed his name. Now matter what it is, it's their mistake; you can call them, go to local office; walked into your local congressman office to ask help; ask senator for help; write to Obudsman; etc. even need re-do name check, you can get expedite one. good luck!
