Your wife can ftj as long as the marriage happens before the 485 approval.
1. if i were you, i would apply h1 stamping anyway. If you have time, you can accompany your wife to apply h4 when you apply h1 stamping in the same trip of marriage
2. if you don't have enough time, and your wife has trouble for h4 stamping due to new-wed issue, you can go back again to apply h visa together.
3. once she gets the visa, she should come to US right away in case your 485 is approved and you lose your h1 status, meanwhile she loses her h4 status. Suppose your 485 is pending, she could file 485 once she gets here.
4. in case your 485 is approved before she arrives US for whatever reason, you have to file I-824 and she has to apply permanant visa from guangzhou.
