my experience today was different. The doctor collected blood sample from me for the antibody titre test (to see if I have antibody against chicken pox). I guess if you lied about your history, your blood will not lie for you.

anyway, the princeple is if you have had the disease, then you've got the antibody naturally, no varicella vaccine is needed. Therefore, a titre test should be done first with your blood sample. one should pass with a + result, with - result a vaccine shot is needed. if all these procedure is followed carefully, you have no chance of lying at all. But it sounds to me that your doc is very lousy, you can probably get away with your strategy.
