Xiaobaitu, Please help answer 3 questions. Thanks a lot!

Hi, Xiaobaitu:

My situation is: one 485 pending (through spouse), now I can turn in I-485 too as the main applicant. I remember you suggest to turn in the second I-485 in this situation. Could you tell me your reason by answering the following three questions?

1. Will this make the case approved quicker comparing with one I-485? If so, could you please explain the reason? (If two applications use the same A#, in my opinion, it should be approved or denied together. Am I wrong)?
2. Why is it safer to turn in the second one?
3. Is there any disadvantage by turning in the second I-485?
