Be frank, your hu*****and is so stupid.....File tax return jointly can actually save you some money.....

However, when you file your I-485, you can only attach 2006 tax return, but you must attach your W2 for 3 years if you do have for the past 3 years and all of the payroll stubs/checks for the past 6 months. I prepared 3-year tax return, but my attorney only needed my 2006 tax return and she said this is only to avoid RFE. As long as you have W2 and payroll stubs, tax return is actually not important at all.
