Only if you have a H1B visa stamp on your passport and it expired within one year can you use this program. If you had AOS during your stay in US to get youe H1B status (like the case in the first post), you are not eligible. If you qualify, send your passport to DOS. It normally takes 3-4 months. Goggle "visa revalidation" for more info.
