To xiaobaitu and radiology: What is Section 221(g) ?

I applied for adjusting status over Consulate at Montreal (NIW). We provided all original documents (birth certificate/married certificate/police) as they asked. They only asked some simple questions and ask us to sign all documents after 4h waiting. We had sworn in front of the visa officer. However, he gave the notice showing that:

This office regrets to inform you that it is unable to issue a visa to you because you have been found ineligible to receive a visa under the following sections of the immigration and nationality Act. The information contained in the paragraphs marked with “X” pertains to your visa application.
Section 221(g) witch prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of the immigration and nationality act or regulations issued pursuant thereto. The following remarked apply in your case:

Further administrative processing.


My friend told me that they should issue immigrating visa immediately after interview. The officer told me we can have the visa 6 to 8 weeks later. I am worrying about that if I should be denied?
