I think you can call them again to ask them why the money was cashed out and no case status showed up. Maybe they can give you a clue.
From my experience, all the documents sent to St. Louis will be transfered to Washington. So, maybe something happened to your case during this transfer, or maybe someone in Washington has not typed in your status.
Actually, if you give them case number, they will find the same information as you. So, why don't you ask them to check your name and address. Hope this will figure out what happened.
