Keep calling TSC. Chances are you will meet a good representative. I was once in the same situation in which she told me to call the national customer service. But when I tried again, a different person was much more helpful.
When I called, I always started with "I have an I-485 application pending for more than xx months, and the online status has never changed. I wonder what's going on..."
