You can talk to your HR or your boss. If they are nice to allow you to take 2-month unpaid leave/vacation and they won't terminate your employment, after you return back ,you continue to work for the same company, you are still in H1b status.
If they can not keep the job for you, it means you have to quit now. When you find a new job later and want to transfer your H1b, there's a problem because you have to provide most recent paystubs. There's a 2-month gap (no pay for 2 months). It's risky,no guarantee the transfer will be approved.
If you choose to quit this job and won't file H1b transfer, you can use EAD to work for a new employer. You'd better to apply for EAD as soon as possible. As you know, 現在申請EAD好像要等很久.
