question about EAD application, thanks

My OPT was expired. Now I am applying for I-485 based EAD.
I have one question about I-765 form:
Should I choose "permission to accept employment"or " renewal of my
permission..."

My understanding is that I should choose "initial application" since EAD (
OPT based) and EAD (485 based) are under different eligibility categories.

Anyone has experience? Thanks a lot
