485 申請過程中的簡單問題/個人解答/裝訂


我家的CASE很簡單，我也就是根據自己的經曆來寫，僅供參考。
每個家庭的背景經曆都不同，所以建議每個人還是以律師的專業回答為準。

485的簡單cover letter

5. Copy of approval notice of I-140
6. Supporting letter from employer and W2 copies from 2004-2006
7. Birth Certificate
8. Copy of passport, visa, I-94, I-20
9. 6 passport photos;
10. sealed medical exam
11. check payable to USCIS in the amount of $745 （including $70 biometric fee）

485 form

Part1.
A#：如果從沒有申請485，A#應該是none. (OPT的A#不算數的)
Date of Last Arrival: 應該是你持有效簽證入關的那次。如果從加拿大回美國沒有辦美國簽證，也沒有上交，取得新的I-94，是不算入關的。（但我不知道，如果沒辦簽證，卻拿到新I-94，如何填寫）。
Part2：主申請人選a. 配偶選b.
Part3: were you inspected by a US Immigration officer: 選擇YES。這裏是指你拿合法簽證入關，US Immigration officer給你的I-94上蓋上合法身份的章。非法入境或是偷渡，算是NO。（但也聽說選NO也沒事兒）。

其他注意的地方：

兩個人的申請應該分別裝訂（但485/765/131是bound到一起的）。
兩個人兩張支票就可（每個人是325+70+170+180=745）

照片後麵要用鉛筆寫上名字，每個人的6張照片分別放在一個小信封裏（比2X2大一點點），然後bound/staple到你的cover letter上。

支票也要staple到每個人申請的第一頁上。

在上方用標準的雙眼打孔，每個申請分別裝訂。

兩個人的申請放在一個紙袋裏，至少要用USPS的return receipt 寄走。如果用fedex寄走，地址要改寫。
