Does 140 application affect TN renewal?

Hi All :
I am holding Canada passport and working in USA. I renew my TN once a year. I am EB2. I plan to my 140 application but I am not sure if this will prevent my getting my TN renew. Any suggestions will be very appreciated. Thanks.
