question about i485 approval letter. Thanks!

I received my GC and welcome letter, but not I485 approval letter though the online case status said it was sent out 2 months ago. I requested one month ago but hasn't received yet. Does anyone know if I will need this letter in the future for GC extension or citizenship application? Should I request again. Your input is greatly appreciated!

Also, here is the timeline with my GC application for those of you interested.
Labor ted: Jan. 2003
Approved: Aug. 2005. This step took us forever, mainly in state!!!
140, 485 ted: Sep. 2005
140 approved: Nov. 2005
485 approved: March 2007. Received GC 1 week after approval.

Good luck to everyone who is still struggling. I was SO depressed while I was waiting. Now I lost the ability to be happy after such a long waiting!
