急！做PostDoc已6個月，今天才知道係裏還沒有將我的H1

申請材料遞上去，而OPT將在半年後過期。請問現在申請H1B還來得及嗎？另外，140遞上去之後，在被approve或reject之前，沒有其他身份滯留在美國是否illegal？拜請各位大俠指點迷津。叩首。
