IRS and CIS are in complete different judrisdication and i don't think they closely communicate each other. You may notice a lot of illegal immigrates pay a lot tax each year from the news. It is ture that you may be required to submitte the I-864 form when you submitte the I-485. However you already submitted 485 right, plus, you are not the principal applicant and your LG is, right? so you even don't need to submitte the I-864 form which has tax information. Another important thing is when the CIS really touch your tax information, that means they already approve your LG's I-140, otherwise they don't bother to touch your I-485 information. Since there is no tax information in I-140 and I assume you are safe. I think that is the grey area of the law. I did a lot of research on that. good luck.
