Is there any risk for renewing H4 by ourselve

老公H1 延期, 律師給了option for renewing my H4 :

1. Wait for the receiptof H1 renewal,then using the receipt to file my H4 by ourselves .

2. Pay more to file H1 and H4 renewal together.

My H4 will be expired at the end of July. How long we have to wait to get the receipt for H1 renewal?

My question is whether there will be any risk by filing H4 renewal by ourselves?
