My former boss sponsored my J1 waiver, but he didnot support my H1 application(Real reason is I was pregenant, he knew it is illegal to fire me, so he said he would keep my status well). I found a similar job instantly, but the H1 was aproved 6 month later.I was not paid for 6 months, but the boss said he helped me to keep status well. I am confused after reading many posts about gap. Is there a gap? Will it affect 485? LD is petitioner. How can I cover the gap?
Sept. J1 waiver.
Oct. Boss said he will not support H1
Dec. fired, get the similar position in another school.
Jan. J1 waiver approved, send all of material for H1 application to new employer
March. I gave birth a baby
May H1 approved
Jun start new job.
how can I explain the gap? Maternity leave?
