thanks so much, so as long as 485 is approved I don't need 140?

My H1B has been renewed so many times after the 6 year term that I lose count :) My current H1B will expire end of this year. Company lawyer said she will file EAD along with 485.

Just to make sure, so once 485 is approved I don't have to worry about 140? Or they will process 140 quicker?
