Xiaobaitu, please help. applying for visa in Canada

Xiaobatu and other daxiao, could you help me with this.

I am currently H-1 holder and thinking going to Canada to apply for visa instead of appying in China. Some questions.

-Usually how earlier should I make appointment with American Embassy in Canada?
-What documents do I need to during interview.
