NIW..Eb1?

Ph.D., Mech. Engineering
1) 發表過 22 papers ( 11 journal in English, first author: 10), include 5 english conference papers and 7 journal papers in Chinese.
2) 2個journal的reviewer
3) 因為認識不少academia和industry的朋友，所以推薦信應該沒有多大問題
4）沒有獲得過什麽全國性的獎，有一個州方麵的獎學金
5)3 approved patents (first inventor in one)
6) many big industrial engineering project as senior engineer


Company is working on my Eb2 (LA based). The progress is slow and lawyer is arrogant.
1. Can i prepare a NIW or Eb1a by myself or by a new lawyer? is it rude to employer?
1. NIW or Eb1 , which is better?
