question on status after using AP and EAD

I am on H1 now, and have 485 stuck on NC.

My H1 expires next August (2008), and I am not sure if I can turn green before that. If I use AP, can I still successfully renew my H1 next year without obtaining visa stamp outside USA? I will work for the same employer.

If I use EAD for a second job, is my H1 still valid or I need to inform my employer? My employer does not provide benefit when using EAD
