請教小白兔-a litte it complicated

I’m EB2, LC and I-140 approved, waiting for filing I-485. I’m moving to a new job and plan to carry over my PD if I have to. My new employer told me that I can start after the H-1B transfer notice received from USCIS. My questions are:

1. Can my old employer continue to pay me after I start with the new job? I have quite some vacation hours left and my H-1B with my current employer expires at the end of the year.
2. If my current employer wants me to continue work for them for several months after I start the new job, can I work for the two employers at the same time?
3. Can I extend my H-1B with my current employer after it has been transferred to the new employer?
4. If I work for the two employers at the same time, can I I-485 when my PD is current?
