As I know, usually all kinds of petition sent to CIS need to be company by one type of documents, i.e., copy of passport/visa page /I-94, I-20, etc., and most form instructions usually will tell you what kind of this type of documents you need to submit.

However, on the I-140 form instruction, it doesn’t mention anywhere that the petitioner needs to submit this type of documents. Also, I have a lot this type of documents (since I change from F-1 to H-1b, and I don’t know what needs to be submitted, since I think at least I need to submit some of them.

Here are what I have now:
1. Passport
2. Two visa pages (since went back once)
3. Two I-20 (before/after Sevis)
4. Two I-94 (one from last entrance, and one attached on H-1b approval notice)
5. OPT card (expired since now in H-1b)
6. H-1b approval notice
7. SSN (I heard that some people submit that and wonder if it is necessary)

I wonder what of the above I need to submit with my I-140 petition, and if I submit more than what they need, will it create any confusions for the CIS officer?

Another question, since the application is about an inch thick, should I bind them as one booklet, or keep them separate by document type?

Any thoughts and suggestion will be appreciated! Thanks!
