No, my petition was filed by a lawyer. Sorry, no idea about your question on Eb1a or Eb1b. As fas as I know, you need to support from your employer if you file Eb1b. Since you have got a professorship, you may ask for advice from your university. For myself, I have the only choice for EB1a.
