Can I drive my own car to land in Canada?

Will I be in trouble if I drive my own car for Canada PR landing and need to drive it back to US several days later? Will the immigration officer force me to import my car this time even I put it on 'goods to follow'?

Have you done this by driving your own car there? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience!
