Am I qualified for a H1B transfer?

I once worked with H1B from April 2005 to March 12, 2006 for a university and then i changed my job to a private company and started using EAD card. I haven't left us for one year sinceI obtained my first H1b in april 2005. Now for some reason, I need to use H1b again, am I qualified for the category of H1B transfer? Thank you very much!
