xiaobaitu: Help! Can I apply H1 with 485 pending?

My 485 pending for 4 years now ( based on my hu*****and's employment). His 485 approved already. Now I am really afraid my 485 being disapproved.

Can I apply H1? I now work with EAD.
And I heard if I get H1 with I94 on the bottom, I don't need to go back China to get visa, is this true?
