H1B transfer while H1B extension is pending

My current H1B will expire in July and my current employer has filed the H1B extension for me but with the regular processing. So I should expect to wait for several months to get the approval. My question is if I want to transfer to another company, can I file the transfer now while the extension is pending? Will there be any problem? Thank you.
