I485 pending question(RFE)?

Whether does any I-485 need the company's employment verfication and pay stubs before approval(RFE)?

My 485 was received last June. Currently, I check my I-485 status. no update although I got FP done last oct. I check some 485 cases around my time. some got FRE. My friend got one.he said the USCIS needed company's employment verfication and pay stubs. For some 485 cases the USCIS webpage said:

On February 16, 2007, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence and/or information in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to the evidence and/or information requested. This case will be held in suspense until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to it expires. Once you the information and/or evidence requested, you will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something further from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service.
