Urgent!!! Xiao bai tu, please help me.....

Dear Xiao Bai Tu,

I went back to China on May 8,2005 because my mom was terminately ill and she wanted to see me. So I went back to China with my little daughter-- Ella who was born in U.S.A.. I got my H-4 visa from U.S. Embassy in Beijing. And I came back on July 6, 2005. When I passed through the inspection officer, he put "Class H-4 until Aug 17,2005" which is the date on the visa I got from the Embassy. And in fact, my H-4 approval date is from July 9, 2004 to July 9, 2007.

Right now, my lawyer said there is a gap between Aug 17,2005 to Mar 6, 2007, which is more then 1 year. If I left U.S., now, I could not come back until 10 years.

Is this true?
