Can I apply H1B if I have 'Out of status' record before

I was out of status last winter because I forgot to renew my I-20. Then I went to Canada and get H4 visa and reentered US this Jan. I want to look for job right now. I am wondering if the record of 'out of status' give me any trouble when I apply H1B. Thanks!
