Under current practice of VSC, they don't actively process your case before namecheck is cleared. To get additional fingerprint is treated as unnecessary because no one know how long you will be stuck in NC. It is not free to renew fingerprint, INS is paying for that!
Anyway, there are plenty ways for you to figure out whether your NC is cleared not. Or you will just know when you are interview at local office.
