What kind of update? Our I-485 case (pending since from 08/2004) status cannot even be retrieved from CIS website. We called CIS and were told that they were short handed so probably they didn't update their database.

If the message you got from their website, stating that "...your case has been resumed...", it is probably a good sign. Chances are that your name check has been cleared.
