A Urgent question for XiaoBaitu. Thanks a lot in advance

I filed I485 for my wife and me on 02/16/2007. My wife need to go back china before we can get our AP.
My lawyer told us that as far as she can get her fingerprint done before her leaving, I can always mail her the AP once it's approved. She will use the approved AP to return US with no trouble in the future

However, Today I read an article at saying that my wife will have trouble returning US using the mailed AP. And she must stay here till she gets the AP then she can travel back to China.

XiaoBaitu, please kindly give your advice since we are going to book her ticket.
