it's really easy, you can get a work permit same day when you file your I485 application, which means you can work almost right after you get married. it will take maybe one or two months to get the advance parole that allows you to go back to china without worrying about the visa. According to my case, it takes a little more than 4 months to get the conditional Green Card.
