怎麽才知道對方有沒有和自己離婚.

上個月我和一位美國公民在紐約市登記結婚,我住紐約,對方住新澤西.前幾天對方說在新澤西當地找律師要和我單方麵離婚,取消結婚. 我後來打電話追問她又說律師給她fax文件,隻要她簽字寄回去就生效但是她還沒簽字.今天她又和我說其實早就和我離婚了,搞的我非常煩.我想知道到底對方有沒有和我離婚.
btw:我們沒有住一塊,我的紐約住址她知道.
