My wife was on F-1 when she petitioned the H-1B. She didn't have the OPT approved yet at the time. She graduated in May but H-1B started in October. She couldn't show the OPT EAD card to bridge the gap. Therefore her immigration attorney didn't check "Change of Status" on I-129. (probably he didn't her I-94 either). This would require my wife to complete "Change of Status" by getting a H-1B visa from outside US.

Shortly after ted H-1B petition she got her OPT. And now she doesn't want to travel and wants to complete the "Change of Status" inside US.

Is this do-able? How? Thanks.
