Xiaobaitu and other DAXIA : Is it legal to start a small busines

I am planning to start a small business. I am holding a EAD based on 485 ( I am the dependent). Is this OK? What shall I do to use the EAD, since I know in there is a form need to file when I was working in the university, are there anything like that shall I file if I can start a business myself?
