name check more than 4 years, and got approved at last

My I485 was ted in Dec 2002. Unfortunately, I was stuck in name check for extremely long time. So I wrote letters to congressman and senator for help. They did, but just sent inquiry letters to USCIS. I kept calling to see whether they would like to help my case by contacting FBI. At last the congressman secretary helped me. He called FBI a dozen of times and left message in this January. On Feb 1, FBI called him back and said my name check was still not done. I was quite disappointed. Then, to my surprise, I got a welcome letter about my I485 through email on Feb 8, and another email on next day saying my card has been ordered and I will get it in 30 days.
So, I just want to share my experience with those who still stuck in name check. Instead of waiting , you must try everything you can do to expedite your case. Good Luck.
