10/2005, sent initial application form

01/2006, received request to take English test

04/2006, sent request to waive English test, with two letters from my professors to prove my English skills

09/28/2006, received request to take medical exam and FBI background check

12/17/2006, took medical exam

01/13/2007, sent back FBI background check result and non-criminal notary from China

2/7/2007, received the approval letter to request to send passport and landing fee

There were some delay while I asked the professors to write the letters to waive the English test and prepare FBI fingerprinting card.

Also took medical exam after 60 days of request because my son was in China. So it was pretty quick now.
