You misunderstood the base of a green card application. you should apply green card based on a family relationship with a US citizen, or a hiring relationship with your boss,or your excellent ability,not base on any visas,in other words,no matter what's kind of visa you hold, but if you
live in USA legally,you may adjust your status to PR
within USA,otherwise you have to apply an immigrant visa in your country.
But since TN status doesn't allow immigrant intent,if you file an immigrant petition,then you won't get a new TN in next year,you have to live in USA with I-485
(PR) pending status,it's legal,but if your application
get denial finally,you have to leave USA immediately,&
won't get TN or visitor entry in future.
就是說，TN和TD狀態完全可以申請綠卡，而且申請提出後，原來的TN/TD身份還可以存在一段時間，隻是到一年時不能再延期了而已 ，但I-485pending本身就是一種合法身份(AOS)
