急！煩死了，這個公司的lawyer說我不能用EAD為他們工作？

我是NIW based EB2, I-140 approved, I-485 pending, 目前在學校做research associate, 申請時是post-doc.

現在，我想去一個大公司工作，in the same broad area, similar research fields. 我認為我可以申請EAD, 直接去他們那裏工作，不需要他們做什麽工作，因為我的I140是self sponsored. 而且跟這邊的學校也沒什麽關係。我給他們解釋了這個情況，可是他們還是不明白，難道我錯了？下麵是他們的部分問題

In this particular case, we still do not have enough information to determine whether we would be able to successfully take over the sponsorship of xxx's pending application for change of status to permanent resident visa (I-485). The information that we have indicates that he has obtained an I-140, which is the labor certification that is the first step in his particular case. He has filed the I-485 application for change of status to PRV, but he has not yet received the Employment Authorization Document (EAD) that would cover his working pending the final issuance of the PRV (or green card).

The question is whether we would be able to successful take over
his sponsorship at this point--i.e., whether we could "port" him. We would like to get the essential information about his application--specifically, what job deion was ted as the basis of his labor certification (I-140) and more detailed
information about when he is likely to receive his EAD.....
