Xiaobaitu, please help ...EAD question again

I understand that even if the new employer does not sponser H1B, I can work on EAD. But, with EAD, what is the time period allowed after being laid off and before finding a new employer? Do I have to find a new employer within X days after being laid off? Does it make a difference with or without EAD?
